Today, while reading the different tweets to and from Joe, I was wondering if he is actually sitting on his couch, laughing like crazy. I am suspicous of Joe's stupidity. Hear me out.
I teach - that is what I do. Now, I also taught children who are, let's say, challenged when it comes to cognitive skills. I had children in my classroom who were unable to read coherently, who still spelled out longer words in the sentence, who found it very difficult to interpret a simple text. Pupils who struggled to make use of logic. But none of my pupils ever struggled as much as Joe seems to be doing.
Joe is wrong, constantly and about everything. He is wrong about basically everthing he tweets about. But he is also inconsistent. Can someone really be this stupid? I have doubts.
Why would he portray himself this way? What's in it for Joe?
1. his stupidity attracts attention. There is no such thing as bad publicity. Some atheists are even buying his book. Granted, to make fun of him, but they are still spending money on him.
2. he can test which of his outlandish claims generate the most protest - would be perfect for the next book, right?
Joe used to deal drugs, he was an ordinary criminal. After doing time, you do not have a lot of options (job-wise). How many employers would hire people with criminal records? I think Joe is a hell of a lot smarter than we think he is. He chose a much easier way of making a living.
Which leads us to the question: is Joe really dumb or are we dumber?
